Director
Founder and conductor of Starlight Pops Choir, Sue Doman is well-known for her imaginative, upbeat and joyful approach to choral leadership.
Since 2003 she has built a solid reputation as a director and conductor of choirs and special events in Greater Victoria area and throughout Vancouver Island. In addition to Starlight Pops Choir, Sue currently directs the Friends of Government House Singers who appear at Government House functions and other official events throughout Victoria.
In addition to her accomplishments as a choral director, Sue holds a Bachelor’s degree in Voice Performance combined with over 35 years of experience as a performing vocalist in Canada and the US. Her three-octave vocal range and exceptional versatility keep her in demand as a recording artist and interpreter of musical theatre, cabaret, jazz standards, big band, classical and new age repertoire. She has released three solo CDs, and her soaring soprano is featured on two albums by internationally-renowned ambient music artist Aeoliah.
